37 Weeks

I did not write anything for 37 weeks :( If I did, I cannot remember lol. Obviously, I am still behind. This is the week I started to get busy. I actually did not get a chance (or I could have been too tired lol) to take a 38 week photo either. The "agreement" Jaxon & I had (for him to come at 38 weeks:) did not happen either lol. At 37 weeks I was still feeling fine, but definitely feeling pregnant!

36 Weeks

Baby is the size of a: Coconut! They are pretty heavy lol. The baby weighs about 6 pounds already!! I seriously CANNOT believe I am 36 weeks! If all goes as planned (what does with pregnancy lol) I only have 2 more weeks. You see,  Jaxon & I had a talk and he understands that I am uncomfortable and he should come out sooner. So, at 38 weeks he should be making his appearance; unless of course he forgets :) He will come when he feels like it :))
How I'm feeling: I am still doing pretty darn good! The back pain, of course, has not gone away. Put that with my aching feet, I am sure I have one hot walk going on lol. But, I am still able to do every day things. My house is clean, laundry is done and I'm still making dinner! Heck, I don't even make Gary go to the grocery store :) It's better that way, he doesn't rush me :)
Sleeping: Oh bladder, why do you do this to me?! I have slept so good almost my entire pregnancy! It is just getting worse. Although, I have found a new love of strawberry milk, so a couple of nights I had the "I don't care if I'm up all night, this milk is happening right now" attitude and had a glass before bed. It was worth it at the time!
Craving: I still don't really crave anything. I like a lot lol. I still love watermelon, but now that I bought strawberry syrup, strawberry milk is awesome. I know, it's not the best thing to drink- but it's sooo good!
Missing: I am still struggling with having to be cautious with certain things, like lifting. Or gardening. I really want to pull out the bushes in the front yard, but I can't :( Soon enough though!
Maternity clothes: Ok, I got one shirt this week. It was on clearance at Target for $5!
Wedding ring: I put it on my necklace! I am so nervous about it though. I DO NOT want to lose it & I'm so afraid I will. But at least I can have it on me. It makes me feel better knowing that I have it instead of leaving it at home.
Movement: Of course. I realized one night this week while eating dinner that I see now why these women take pictures with plates of food on their bellies! My belly isn't big enough for that, but it is so hard to sit up and eat. He has no room in there, I constantly have to lean back whenever I sit. The recliner in our house has been a good seat for me lately.
Showing: I cannot believe I still fit in to this shirt! (and it's not even a maternity shirt:) My mom will be happy to see I followed through and have it on for every picture!
Signs of labor: Braxton Hicks a couple of times this week! I am down to every week at the Dr now, so I'm sure they will be looking for the signs. OHHH eMMm GeeEE I am soooo incredibly scared! I've had a couple people say I better be excited. Don't get me wrong, I am- It's just the huge fear of the unknown! like the BIGGEST unknown for a woman who does not have children.. the excitement will come when he is here. For now, I am scared for my lady parts lol
Looking forward to: My appointment in a couple of days. The last 2 appointments have been very rushed and I was not happy. So hopefully it was just a busy couple of days for them and this week will be better.

Baby Shower

Just a few pictures : )

BOY am I behind!!

So it just hit me tonight that I have not been writing on the blog! I forgot! I write every week and take pictures every week, but uploading and publishing is a totally different story lol. I hope to take the next couple of days to catch up-with one exception: I have to find where Gary put the camera! I think it may be in the hospital bag. I will find it!

35 Weeks

Baby is the size of a: Honeydew! Isn't that pretty close to a canteloupe? Maybe he just isn't supposed to grow that much this week :) We attended the newborn class this week. Interesting to say the least. It's all stuff we could have figured out, but it was nice to have someone to ask questions. Gary changed his first diaper!! Ok, on a fake baby lol but he did great. We both learned to swaddle! All in all, it was good to go but I'm glad it wasn't expensive.
How I'm feeling: I will admit, I sure am hoping he comes early lol. I still feel bad for even complaining a little. If I've made it this far with really nothing wrong beside a little back pain & heart burn, then I'm doing pretty good! BUT my back hurts so bad! It seems like if I have an issue it will come & go- but not the back pain, it's here to stay apparently!
Sleeping: Oh this must be what everyone talks about.. sleeping less for sure. I am up peeing more. From what I hear, it's because he is now head down and has "dropped" so he's on my bladder.
Missing: Hmmm.. walking normal? lol. The pain in my back sure does make me walk funny! NOT waddling yet though!!
Maternity clothes: I am not buying anything else! At least that is what I am telling myself now lol. I'm down to one t-shirt that fits and the dresses I wear to work are definitely getting a little more "fitting" lol. But I swear he is coming early, so I really don't want to spend the money!
Wedding ring: I tried, still does not fit :(
Movement: He is a movin crazy! Maybe he will be a dancer like his dad :)
Showing: Bigger by the day. Although it's nice to go to my Dr. appts to hear "omg you're so small" I'm thinking, really??! lol. They are sweet.
Signs of labor: Not much with Braxton Hicks this week. Only one day, one time. I'm ok with that!
Looking forward to: Taking the car seat to the fire station to make sure it is installed correctly. Yes, apparently this is what life will be like from now on. I'm excited about a car seat lol.

34 Weeks

Baby is the size of a: Canteloupe! Ok, I feel like this is going back to normal, at least I know what it is :)
How I'm feeling: Holy back pain this week!! Wow, I'm used to having back pain from a previous injury, but apparently with this hormone called Relaxin, it "relaxes" everything to prepare for childbirth and causes back pain! (omg, I just wrote to prepare for child birth... it's so close) eeek!!
Sleeping: I swear I can write something one week and the next week it's like I jinx myself and it's total opposite. I still feel like I can't really complain, I'm only getting up to pee and it's only like once or twice a night. I hear of women that are up all night. My friend Alli is 3 weeks behind me and she randomly wakes up in the middle of the night (sorry gf :( But for the most part, I sleep pretty good. Jaxon is good to me, he doesn't wake me up from moving.
Missing: Wellll, this week I have discovered that I don't fit into any of my sneakers!!! So, I have to say, I miss my normal feet :(
Maternity clothes: Nothing new.
Wedding ring: I guess I have to officially say it does not fit. It is so hard to get on & off that I just have to keep it off :( I'm so sad, it feels weird not wearing it. I feel even more weird when Gary & I go out together and he has his wedding ring on & I don't. I'm a pregnant woman walking around with a married man! lol
Movement: Oh yes, he seems to love my ribs these days. I have to lean back to sit comfortably. That makes sense though, since Gary & I are so tall, we probably have a long baby!
Showing: Yup.
Signs of labor: No labor, but Braxton Hicks started this week! I can only imagine what labor will be. These stop me in my tracks, but just for a split second. I can move through most of them. It's really just an uncomfortable feeling.
Looking forward to: The parenting class we are taking next week. I hope it will take some "fear of the unknown" feeling away. I'm excited to see how much I already know and how much I still have to learn!

The progress of Jaxon's room!!

So exciting, it's finally coming together!

Gary & I made the wall decorations. He always has the best ideas! He decided to stagger them instead of a regular square and I love it!

I am pretty proud of myself, I put together the small cubicle shelving!

Gary's grandfather made the wonderful wood letters! (He is so talented, I wish he would sell his work, but he just enjoys making different things) We painted them and they look perfect on the shelf! We are pretty much done with everything. I have a mirror to paint and hang, but other than that we are done!! We're ready now :)
